Since the first Pride celebration over fifty years ago, the queer and trans rights movement has evolved into a political and cultural force that’s fought for equality for all people. The first Pride parade happened in New York City as gay activists commemorated the events of the Stonewall Riots the year prior. June is LGBTQ Pride month all around the globe.
